As the graphic designer for the IceCube Education and Outreach team, I am responsible for creating the layout for the yearly IceCube calendar. It features breathtaking photos taken by IceCube winterovers at the South Pole in Antarctica. Winterovers are responsible for maintaining the IceCube Neutrino Observatory over 13 months of the winter season at the South Pole. The calendar also serves as an outreach tool, showcasing life at the South Pole and teaching people about IceCube.
I am involved in the selection of the photos for each month, helping with captions and titles, and formatting the calendar for various print sizes. The calendar is distributed in print-ready tabloid, letter, and A4 PDFs in both color and black and white. The calendars are available to download on the IceCube website and are printed locally and by our international collaborators.
